Mom & Me: Our Bodies, Our Bond are Mother/Daughter Programs for 10-12/13-year-old girls and 13-16-year-old girls and their mothers to learn about God’s plan for growing up, becoming a woman and His gifts of sexuality, fertility and chastity. Topics include: the changes in a young woman’s body as it prepares for motherhood; the onset of ovulation and subsequent menstrual periods; the functions of the female reproductive system; the emphasis on chastity and reverence for our sexuality are also discussed with the older girls.

A complimentary reception followed Mass with refreshments and resources. Many stayed to visit with local NaproTechnology Ob/Gyn practices, diocesan catechists, foster parent support groups, and adoption specialists from Catholic Charities. This Annual Mass is for all those who suffer the effects of infertility. We want each of you to know that married couples are not facing their challenges alone. They are doing so with God and the Church who journey with each of them in this suffering.

A new support group has begun and representatives were at a table to talk to prospective participants. Sarah's Hope and Abraham's Promise, for those dealing with fertility, pregnancy loss and adoption. Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 6:30 pm. NFP in Health Crisis Teaches Selfless Trust in God

Natural Family Planning has been such a blessing in our lives. At first, I was opposed to it. I thought the pill was the only option. Thank God a friend told me about NFP! It took me a while to understand the terminology as well as the philosophy behind the concept. After a few years of using it, I became aware of how trustworthy NFP is and how wonderful that it is both free and good for my body. At this point my husband and I decided to become trained to teach NFP to newly married couples. It was ironic how the laughing engaged couple in the back of the NFP room (us) was now training to teach others about things we never spoke about in public.
